Šentvid pri Stični is a settlement in the Ivančna Gorica municipality in central Slovenia. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Central Slovenian statistical region.[2]

The parish church from which the settlement gets its name is dedicated to Saint Vitus (Slovene: Sveti Vid) and belongs to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ljubljana. It is first mentioned in written documents dating to 1136.[3] A second church on a hill just south of the settlement is dedicated to Saint Roch and dates to the 17th century.[4]
